So I am starting a test group challenge and would like to invite you all to participate!!
Shaun T, of Insanity fame, has just released a new program entitled Focus T25. The beatuy of this program is that it gets your workout done in 25 minutes, 5 days a week.
There are two initial phases, Alpah and Beta. Each phase is 25 days long.
In the test groups, Focus T25 had the same results as Insanity (6 days per week, 45-60 minutes per day for 60 days). So essentially this program delivers the same results for in less time!!
For me this is an ideal workout. Being a mom of three and a recent grad starting up my own business, it can be very difficult for me to get a workout in and yet I know that diet and exercise are crucial to my overall health and enjoyment of life.
If you can relate to wanting to improve your life but are intimated by the gym or the lengthy home workouts than this is the program for you!
I am inviting you to join my test challenge group. However, I only have room for 10 participants and they are filling up fast. To fill out an application to join the test group go here.
Don't miss out on this amazing opportunity to be one of the first to participate!

Shaun T
So there is some exciting news brewing in the Beachbody world.
Many people have asked if there was vanilla shakeology and I am pleased to announce that once again, YOU spoke and Beachbody listened. Now available from Beachbody is Vanilla Shakeology and for a limited time only (July 7) there will be free shipping.
But for me the far more exciting news!!!
Have you ever found that in order to effectively work out, it seems that you have to put in a ton of hours? I have tried many home workout routines and it seems that that is what happens. In order to be effective we are talking a minimum of an hour a day. Have you ever found yourself saying that you just can't afford that kind of time of that you just don't have enough hours in the day to workout with everything else on your plate?
I know I have been guilty of that. So here is the good news!!!!
Shaun T of Insanity and Asylum fame has released a new workout, Focus T25. That's right 25 minutes is all it will take, 6 days a week to a fitter and healthier you!. Available starting tomorrow and let me tell you I am SO excited!!!

Does Starving work?
Television is a remarkable thing. It has brought untold amounts of entertainment into our lives. It has also brought the ability to "veg" out as a way to relax. Gone are the days when exercise was used to reduce our stress.
Now don't get me wrong. I, too, own a tv and do enjoy watching movies and specific shows. And no this is not an anti-tv post.
With tv our world became smaller. We could now learn of what was happening in other parts of the world through news, documentaries and advertising.
And some companies use advertising as a means to create awareness of what is going on, on the other side of this world and ask us to consider helping those less fortunate.
And in doing so, they show pictures of malnourished children.
And somehow those pictures have seeped into our mentality and provided people with the idea that starving yourself (much like the malnourished children/adults/families), is an option for weight loss.
However, that is not the case. And truth be told, eating is what helps you lose weight. HONEST. See what happens is this, when we regularly consume 6 small meals a day, we are keeping our metabolism up and running. Not only does that give us more energy but it effectively burns more calories. How many times haven't we seen people with high metabolisms that do not seem to have an inch of fat on them? High metabolism burns calories.
Now the other side of this myth. But if you don't eat it , then ti cannot increase your weight. Right? Wrong. See what happens when you don't eat enough is that your body goes into starvation mode at which point it hangs onto fat. And if you starve long enough, then not only will your body hold onto it's fat, it will actually start to eat away at your muscle because muscle use expends more energy and your body is trying to conserve that energy in order to keep you alive.
So, in effect, by starving you are essentially causing your body to hold onto it's fat stores and telling your body to eat away at your muscles.
Whereas, by eating, you are telling your body that it is getting what it needs to live, increasing your metabolism which is what burns the stored calories in our fat.
If you want to lose weight? EAT don't starve!

Slim in 6-two week update
So I thought that I would update my slim in 6 workouts. Two weeks ago I decided to furiously stick it out and not let a case of the "I don't want to's" determine whether or not I worked out.
And I am pleased to say that I did workout, 6 days out of 7 for two weeks.
I tell you it was no fun and that Slim in 6 is no joke for those who think it might be.
At first, no weight dropped which was discouraging but there are reasons for that for which I have done my research so I kept telling myself over and over, it will happen if I just keep at it.
And I was without my shakeology while I did these two weeks. So glad THAT is over....
So Day one I took my pictures and day fourteen I took some two week pictures, I wanted to see if there was a difference and sure enough there was.

Now it's not a ton but in the first two weeks I have dropped about 4 lbs but as you can see bu the pictures I have also managed to drop some inches and tone my mid-section. And I think I may have lost some in my face as well. After I saw that, trust me my motivation certainly was re-charged!!!

Fitness update
So its been a complete week of Slim in 6. And I thought it was going to be an easy program. Now don't get me wrong, it does have an easier option, in fact from what I can see it has 3 different levels of difficulty.
But I want results, so I have decided to go all out. I alternate my workouts and then take one rest day.
So Monday, Wednesday and Friday my workouts look like this:
Slim in 6 (30 min)
Slim and 6 pack (15 min)
Thin Thighs Guaranteed (15 min)
Then on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday my workouts look like this:
Slim in 6 (30 min)
Core Cardio (30 min)
Then on Sunday its a rest day.
So week one is done and where am I? Well I hate thin thighs and I yell at her. It HURTS. But what I did find out is that at the end of the week, things were a bit easier and I think I can see a bit of toning happening. SO I enter week two and I will be taking week 2 pix and compare to week one. If I think I see results now, then I'm sure I will see some then!!! And the pictures will prove it.
Then weeks 3 and 4 are Ramp it Up weeks so that will mean something new and different I believe! We will see!!
Oh, and added benefit, I don't think I HATE exercising quite as much as I once did!!!

Vitamins are vitamins are vitamins....right?
Wow is Beachbody ever rolling it out this month!!!
So apart from all the news I have already shared for this month, Beachbody is now offering a free trial on their vitamins.
Have you ever wondered about Beachbody products and thought about trying them but just couldn't find a way to justify it?
Well now you don't have too! Beachbody, for a limited time, is offering a free trail of their vitamins fir active people. All you pay is $4.95 for the S&H. that's a $30.00 value.
But vitamins are vitamins, right?
Nope, unfortunately not.
I can hear you asking, well how are these different?
Well, what I can tell you is this. Beachbody is committed to excellence as evidenced but their recent clinical trials on the Beachbody Ultimate Reset. If they are that committed to ensure that their cleanse is put through rigorous testing to ensure that it delivers on the things that it claims, then you can rest assured that all of Beachbody's products are subjected to the same standard of excellence.
So why not go ahead, and try ActiVit and decide for yourself? All you may lose is $5.00 or 1 cup of coffee.
